La situación en los mercados financieros globales no tiene efectos

La situación en los mercados financieros globales no tiene efectos hasta el momento significativamente dramático en el sector del turismo en la República Dominicana.

República Dominicana - Confirmado Fracisco Javier García, Toursimus-Ministro de Estado del Caribe. Las previsiones iniciales para 2009 se preveía una disminución de hasta un 15 por ciento. Después de varios meses de descenso, el número de turistas en la República Dominicana, sin embargo, positiva - un máximo de cuatro por ciento.

Una razón importante de ello es la exitosa colaboración entre el sector privado y el gobierno reafirmó García. En vez de poner nuestras cabezas en la arena que se invierte, ya que: La República Dominicana es probablemente el más diverso destino en el Caribe y ofrece excelentes oportunidades para hacer vacaciones individuales, que, a pesar de la actual crisis económica ha continuado con el volumen de valores de inversión por importe de 10,5 millones de euros para 81 nuevos proyectos turísticos muestran el enfoque ambicioso de la empresa privada y el gobierno.

GRUPO PUNTACANA WINS 2009 TOURISM FOR TOMORROW AWARD


Grupo PUNTACANA has won the 2009 Destination Stewardship Award ‘Tourism For Tomorrow’ Award . Now in its 5th year, the award goes to a destination which shows dedication to and success in maintaining a programme of sustainable tourism management at the destination level, incorporating social, cultural, environmental and economic aspects as well as multi-stakeholder engagement.

Grupo PUNTACANA is a pioneer in sustainable tourism management with nearly three decades of innovative work in the Dominican Republic.
